Question about California Insurance License Background Check
I’m preparing to obtain my non-resident insurance license in California in the next couple of weeks. I hold licenses in 49 states plus D.C. for Property & Casualty and Life & Health. However, I’m a bit anxious about the fingerprint background check due to a past arrest related to an unpaid traffic ticket. I was never convicted; the judge simply instructed me to pay the fine. Still, the wording on California’s background review page makes it seem quite intimidating!
Has anyone gone through the licensing process in California? Is it truly as stringent as it appears? I had expected it to be similar to Florida’s process, which also requires fingerprinting, but now I’m not so sure. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
