Conflicting Information on State Farm’s Forgiveness Policy
I’ve been informed by someone at the body shop that State Farm offers a forgiveness policy, which could be relevant since I haven’t had an accident in decades. However, my online research suggests that State Farm does not have such a policy. The damage from my recent incident—backing into a telephone pole—is approximately $4,000. While I can manage the cost, I’d like some clarity on my options. I also have my homeowners and umbrella policies with State Farm.
Can anyone confirm whether or not State Farm has a forgiveness policy?
Thank you!
State Farm does have a program called Accident Forgiveness, but it typically applies only to policyholders who meet certain criteria, such as having a clean driving record. However, the specifics can vary by state and individual policies, so it’s possible that some information you found online might be outdated or not applicable to your situation.
To get the most accurate and up-to-date information, I recommend contacting your State Farm agent directly. They can clarify whether you qualify for accident forgiveness based on your circumstances and the specifics of your policy. Since you also have homeowners and umbrella coverage with them, they may be able to offer you additional options as well. It’s always best to have a clear conversation with your insurance agent to understand all your choices.
