DIRECT AUTO INSURANCE QUESTION
Hey everyone,
I’m currently setting up an auto insurance policy with Direct Auto, and they need to know how many drivers I want to include. I share my home with two other licensed adults, but I have no plans to let them drive my car. I’m also getting a Miata, which isn’t exactly spacious for extra passengers! Should I include them as drivers anyway? Will Direct Auto give me a hard time about it if I don’t? Thanks for your advice!
When applying for auto insurance, it’s generally best to be truthful about all licensed drivers in your household, even if you don’t plan on letting them drive your car. Insurers typically require this information to accurately assess risk and determine your premium. Failing to include them could lead to issues, such as denied claims or cancellation of your policy later on.
Even though you’re getting a small car that they can’t drive comfortably, it’s advisable to list them. Direct Auto Insurance may not specifically hassle you about it, but including all potential drivers aligns with insurance guidelines and protects you in case they do need to drive your vehicle for any reason.
Ultimately, honesty is the best policy when it comes to insurance. Consider discussing your situation with a representative from Direct Auto to clarify their requirements and any potential impact on your premium.
