Has anyone noticed a decrease in home or auto insurance rates over the past year? I’ve received postcards in the last 6-7 months from two previous insurance companies, both claiming, “Our rates have dropped! Give us another shot!” However, after getting quotes from them just two days ago, the prices were shockingly high! It seems like rates haven’t actually gone down at all.

It seems like you’ve had a frustrating experience with your insurance quotes! Many people are feeling the pinch when it comes to home and auto insurance rates, as they have generally been on the rise in many areas due to various factors like inflation, supply chain issues, and increased claim costs.
In some states, there have been mentions of rates stabilizing or even dropping slightly, but this can vary widely based on individual circumstances and the specific insurers involved. For example, in states with a competitive insurance market, some companies might lower prices to attract new customers.
If you’re not seeing the savings with those former insurers, it might be worth checking out other companies or even comparing regional insurers that might offer better rates. Additionally, considering bundling policies or asking about discounts could help save a bit. Have you considered looking into alternative companies or discussing your current policy with your agent? It could be helpful to hear more from others in your state as well!
