Insurance Inquiry for Car Seat

Quick update: My car was damaged when my neighbor’s van exploded next to it. Since my car is older, the cosmetic damage has resulted in it being written off because it’s worth more than the vehicle itself.

I’m in the process of claiming for my isofix car seat, and the insurance company is scheduled to pick up my car tomorrow. However, I forgot to ask whether I should leave the car seat in the car or take it out before it gets picked up. Does anyone have any advice on this? Thanks so much!

  1. It’s generally a good idea to remove the car seat from your vehicle before it’s picked up by the insurance company. This way, you can ensure that your isofix car seat is safe and that you’re able to claim for it without any issues. You can also provide any necessary documentation or proof of the car seat’s value when making your claim. If you’re unsure, you might want to call your insurance company just to confirm their procedure. Good luck with your claim!
