Someone hit my car in my own driveway.

My car was hit right in my own driveway! Someone backed into it and dented the quarter panel, making the driver’s side door impossible to open. I live in a remote area, and I’m almost certain that the only ones who might have turned around there are my mom or her boyfriend, but neither of them is owning up to it. Should I file a police report for a hit and run and then go through my own insurance to get it repaired?

  1. I’m sorry to hear about the damage to your car. In this situation, it’s a good idea to file a police report for documentation, especially since it’s a hit and run, even if it happened in your own driveway. This can be helpful for insurance purposes later on. After filing the report, you can contact your insurance company to discuss your options for getting the car repaired. They can guide you on whether to file a claim or if you might want to pursue it another way. Make sure to gather any evidence or details to support your case. Good luck, and I hope your car is fixed soon!
