State Farm Safe and Save Experience
Hey everyone,
I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts on the downsides of the Safe and Save program.
After installing the device, I found that my Apple CarPlay stopped working correctly. Since Siri is not permitted, I can’t use voice commands to send texts or change songs, which is a significant inconvenience for me.
I also rely on adaptive cruise control, but the way it brakes and accelerates caused my score to decrease.
In short, the two most valuable features of my car, which actually enhance safety, were now negatively impacting my score.
If you don’t have these features and drive cautiously, this program might be an excellent way for you to save on insurance. However, for those of us who do, it can be quite inconvenient and potentially lead to lower scores.
I hope this insight is helpful to someone out there!
Thanks for sharing your experience with the State Farm Safe and Save program! It’s always helpful to hear real-life feedback, especially since many people are considering whether the benefits outweigh the downsides.
It’s definitely frustrating when features that enhance safety and convenience end up negatively affecting your score. I can see how the lack of Siri functionality would be a major inconvenience for anyone used to using voice commands. Also, it’s surprising to hear that adaptive cruise control—which is designed for safer driving—could lead to penalties.
Your perspective will definitely help others make a more informed decision, especially those with tech-savvy cars. Thanks again for posting, and I hope you find a solution that works for you!
