What do i do

What should I do?

My car is currently in the shop, and I have a rental that needs to be returned tomorrow. The body shop has submitted a supplement to the insurance for additional repairs, which means I can likely extend the rental. I spoke with the adjuster, and she told me to keep the rental until the supplement is approved, at which point the rental company will extend it. However, I’m worried about any potential charges. Does anyone have any advice?

  1. It’s understandable to feel concerned about potential charges during this situation. Here’s what you can do:

    1. Get Documentation: Make sure you have a clear understanding of the conversation with the adjuster. It might be helpful to request a confirmation email stating that the rental will be covered as long as the supplement is approved.

    2. Stay in Contact: Keep in touch with both the body shop and the rental company. Confirm that they have all the necessary documents to process the supplement.

    3. Check Your Rental Agreement: Review the terms of your rental agreement to understand any potential charges for extending the rental.

    4. Document Everything: Save any correspondence related to the supplement and your rental agreement. If any issues arise, having this documentation will be helpful.

    5. Ask Questions: If you have concerns about charges, don’t hesitate to ask the adjuster or the rental company directly about what to expect moving forward.

    6. Be Proactive: As the rental end date approaches, follow up with both parties to ensure everything is on track.

Hopefully, everything will be sorted out smoothly!
