Has anyone else noticed a drop in home or auto insurance prices over the past year? I received postcards from two former insurance providers in the last 6-7 months, advertising lower rates and urging me to reconsider them. I recently obtained quotes from both, and the prices are still sky-high! It doesn’t seem like anything has actually gotten cheaper.
What are your thoughts? If you could include your state, that would be helpful!
I’ve noticed a similar trend in my area too. In my state, the insurance market seems to be quite inconsistent. While some companies are advertising lower rates, a lot of people, including myself, are seeing increases when we actually go to get quotes. It feels like the discounts are more of a marketing tactic than a reflection of the reality for most customers.
What state are you in? It might help to share specific experiences to see if there’s a regional pattern. In my case, even though some companies are saying rates are down, I’ve found that the cost of coverage has actually increased due to factors like inflation and the rising cost of repairs. It’s definitely frustrating to navigate!
