State Farm Safe and Save: A Personal Experience

I wanted to take a moment to share some of the challenges I’ve faced with the Safe and Save program from State Farm.
After installing it, I discovered that my Apple CarPlay was no longer functioning correctly. Since the voice commands rely on Siri, which is prohibited by the program, I couldn’t send texts or change songs hands-free. This was a total deal breaker for me.
Additionally, I rely on adaptive cruise control, but the way it brakes and accelerates was leading to deductions in my points.
In short, the two features that significantly enhance my driving safety were now working against me due to this program.
If you don’t have features like these and drive conservatively, then this program might be a great way to save on your insurance. However, if you enjoy using these safety features, it could end up being more of a hassle than it’s worth.
