Can I sign up with Direct Auto if I owe All State money?

Can I register with Direct Auto if I owe money to Allstate?

I was with Allstate for a year, but after they doubled my rates, I chose not to renew. I still have an outstanding payment of about $115. When I switched to another company, they raised my rates significantly again, but I left that company in good standing. Now, I’m looking to sign up with Direct Auto because I received a really good quote. However, I noticed that it’s listed as “An Allstate brand” on the payment page. If I go ahead and sign up, is there a chance that I could get canceled or face any issues because of my debt to Allstate?

  1. It’s understandable to be concerned about your previous balance with Allstate when considering a new insurance provider. Direct Auto and Allstate are indeed connected, and it’s possible that they may share information about outstanding debts. However, if you left Allstate in good standing and have already moved on, you may still be eligible to sign up with Direct Auto.

It’s a good idea to reach out to Direct Auto’s customer service directly before proceeding with the application. They can clarify any concerns you have about your previous balance with Allstate and how it may affect your ability to get coverage. Being upfront about your situation can help ensure there are no surprises later on. Good luck!
