Can I sign up with Direct Auto if I owe All State money?

Can I sign up for Direct Auto if I still owe money to Allstate?

I was with Allstate for about a year, but they significantly raised my rates, so I decided not to renew my policy. I still have an outstanding payment of around $115. After switching to another company, my rates went up again, but I left that company in good standing. Now, I’m interested in enrolling with Direct Auto because I received a good quote. However, I noticed that the payment page mentions “An Allstate brand.” If I proceed with the sign-up, is there a chance I might face issues like cancellation due to my past balance with Allstate?

  1. It sounds like you’re in a bit of a tricky situation. Since Direct Auto is affiliated with Allstate, it’s possible that they may check your previous insurance history and outstanding debts. If you still owe them money from your time with Allstate, that could potentially affect your eligibility or result in complications during the application process.

It would be a good idea to reach out to Direct Auto directly to explain your situation. They should be able to provide clarity on their policies regarding outstanding balances with previous insurers. Also, consider resolving any outstanding debts with Allstate if possible, as settling that might help you avoid issues in the future. Good luck!
