Humana Dental is Insane

Humana Dental’s Policy is Frustrating

I recently reached out to Humana Dental regarding a denial for a $482 filling. The filling was needed on a tooth that had a partial crown which had come loose and required recementing. I’ve learned that their current policy states that if a tooth has any kind of crown—whether it’s full, partial, or onlay—regardless of how long it has been there, they won’t cover a filling for that same tooth.

  1. It sounds incredibly frustrating to deal with that kind of policy, especially when it seems like you were just trying to take care of necessary dental work. It’s disappointing when insurance companies have such rigid rules that don’t take individual situations into account. Have you considered appealing the decision or speaking with a supervisor? Sometimes advocating further can lead to a different outcome. It might also be worth looking into other options or plans that could offer better coverage for future dental needs. I hope you find a resolution!
