MetLife FMLA/STD

Subject: Question About MetLife FMLA/STD Claim Status

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding my STD/FMLA claim. I noticed that there’s a line in the claim summary that says “Benefit Approved Through Date” with a date of 3/04/2025. However, the overall claim status still shows as Pending. I’ve reached out multiple times to my case manager for a callback, but I haven’t heard back yet.

Can anyone help me understand what this means? Does the “Benefit Approved Through Date” indicate that my claim has been approved, even though the overall status is still Pending?

I appreciate any insights you can provide. Thank you!

  1. Hello!

It sounds like you’re in a bit of a frustrating situation with your STD/FMLA claim. The “Benefit Approved Through Date” means that the benefits have been approved until that date (3/04/2025), but the overall claim status still showing as “Pending” likely means that there are other aspects of your claim that are still under review or pending further information.

Sometimes, this can happen if there are additional documentation or approvals needed before the claim can be fully processed. It could also indicate that there’s a waiting period or that specific details are still being verified.

Since you’ve already reached out to your case manager without success, I would recommend trying to contact their customer service department directly for a more comprehensive update. Ask if there’s anything else you need to provide or if there are any additional reasons why the overall claim is still pending despite the approved benefits.

I hope you get clarity on your situation soon!
