Still waiting on my check…
Last summer, my car was totaled. I’ve already sent the insurance company my title and was told the check was on its way. Now it’s March, and I’m still without it. I’m frustrated with constantly leaving voicemails.
I’m located in California and recall seeing information about a state government office I can contact. Does anyone have that number?
I’m sorry to hear you’re having such a frustrating experience. In California, you can contact the California Department of Insurance (CDI) for assistance with insurance-related issues. They can help you navigate your situation. You can reach them at their Consumer Hotline at 1-800-927-HELP (4357). They should be able to provide guidance on how to proceed and ensure you’re receiving the compensation you’re entitled to. Additionally, consider sending a written request to the insurance company demanding a response, as this can sometimes prompt quicker action. Good luck!
