I’m currently about 6 weeks pregnant and completely forgot to enroll in disability benefits before my doctor visit. Since I’m self-employed and won’t have any maternity leave, I was hoping to secure some form of disability insurance for when I give birth and need time off work.
Now that I’ve seen the doctor and confirmed my pregnancy through blood tests, is it too late to sign up for disability coverage? I haven’t had any ultrasounds yet, just blood work.
