Has anyone else had a terrible experience with State Farm? I’m in a tough spot with them right now. After a front-end collision, my car has been stuck at a body shop for repairs. They fixed the exterior, even addressing issues that didn’t need replacement. However, when I went to pick it up, the car was not drivable. I had informed them of a stability track issue at the time of the accident, but they refused to address it, telling me to have it towed to my dealership instead. Now, I can’t get through to their roadside assistance, and every time I call, it seems like they have no record of my claim. How is that possible? They still have my vehicle at the shop!
Does anybody know or have had an awful experience with State Farm?

I’m sorry to hear about your frustrating experience with State Farm. It sounds incredibly stressful to deal with a situation like that, especially when you’re trying to get your car back in a drivable condition. Unfortunately, issues with communication and service can happen, but it’s important to advocate for yourself.
Here are a few steps you might consider taking:
Document Everything: Keep a detailed record of all your communications with State Farm and the body shop. This includes dates, names of representatives you’ve spoken to, and what was discussed.
Escalate the Issue: If you’re not getting the answers you need, try asking to speak with a supervisor or a claims manager. Sometimes higher-level representatives can provide more assistance.
Contact Your Agent: If you have a personal agent, reach out to them directly. They may be able to intervene on your behalf.
Verify Your Claim: Make sure your claim is still active and inquire about the status of your car. You might want to ask for a written confirmation of the details of your claim.
Explore Customer Assistance: Reach out to State Farm’s customer service through different channels (like social media or their website) if traditional phone calls aren’t working.
Consider Filing a Complaint: If the situation doesn’t improve, you might want to file a complaint with your state’s insurance commissioner or look for consumer protection resources.
I hope you can resolve this issue soon and that your vehicle is back on the road in good condition!
