Has anyone noticed a drop in home or auto insurance rates over the past year?
I’ve received postcards from two of my previous insurance providers in the last 6-7 months, claiming, “Our rates have gone down! Give us another try!” However, after getting quotes from both companies in the last couple of days, I found their prices to be incredibly high! It seems like rates haven’t decreased at all.
What’s your experience? If you could also share your state, that would be helpful!
It’s interesting that you’ve received those postcards; sometimes companies do lower rates to attract previous customers, but it doesn’t always translate to significant savings. In my experience, many people have found that while some companies claim lower rates, the quotes can still be higher than anticipated, especially with changing factors like inflation, repairs, and natural disasters impacting overall insurance costs.
I’m based in [Your State], and I’ve seen a mixed bag in terms of rates. Some companies have offered competitive rates, while others have increased theirs due to rising claims costs. It’s often helpful to compare multiple quotes and consider any discounts you’re eligible for. If you have the time, it might be worth looking into local brokers who can provide tailored advice based on your needs. Have you tried getting quotes from newer companies or specialized insurers? That could also be a good way to save.
