Subject: Question About MetLife FMLA/STD Claim Status
Hi everyone,
I hope you’re doing well! I have a question regarding my STD/FMLA claim with MetLife. I noticed that there’s a line in the claim summary that states “Benefit Approved Through Date” with the date listed as 3/04/2025. However, the overall claim status still shows as Pending.
I’ve reached out for callbacks from my case manager several times, but I’m still uncertain. Does this mean my claim has been approved? Why would the approval date be updated if the overall status remains Pending?
I appreciate any insights you can share! Thank you!
Hi there! It sounds like you’re in a bit of a confusing situation with your STD/FMLA claim. The “Benefit Approved Through Date” indicates that there has been some level of approval for your claim, which is a good sign. However, the fact that the overall claim status still shows as “Pending” suggests that there may still be some details under review or additional documentation needed before a full approval can be finalized.
It’s not uncommon for claims processes to have multiple stages, and your case manager may still be working through the specifics. I recommend reaching out to them again for clarification, emphasizing your need for an update since you’ve already made several requests. It might also help to ask specifically if there are any outstanding items preventing the claim from being fully approved.
In the meantime, keep an eye on any correspondence from MetLife and make sure you have all relevant documents ready in case they request more information. I hope you get a resolution soon!
