Seeking Recommendations for General Business Insurance for a Mobile Museum Exhibit in Silicon Valley
Hello Everyone,
I’m reaching out for suggestions on general business insurance tailored for a mobile museum exhibit that showcases vintage technology, including computers, gaming consoles, tube TVs, and more. Given that we’ll be transporting and setting up valuable items at various locations, it’s crucial to have adequate coverage for risks such as damage, theft, and liability.
We’ve had trouble securing insurance, having been declined by 10 companies (including Travelers, Tivly, Liberty Mutual, State Farm, The Hartford, Collectibles, Hiscox, etc.). An insurance agent mentioned that phrases like “mobile,” “vintage technology,” and “hands-on” raise alarm bells, classifying us as a high-risk case. If anyone has advice on alternative wording that might be more favorable, I’d greatly appreciate it.
I’m also on the lookout for any insurance companies or brokers you could recommend. Additionally, if you have insights on coverage specifics or potential costs, that would be incredibly helpful!
Thanks so much for your support!
