Replacing a tire using insurance

Tire Replacement with Insurance
I’m currently insured with Hagerty, and I’m wondering if the same applies to other providers. I have a spare tire, but I need to get my damaged tire replaced. Will the insurance company send someone out to handle the tire replacement? It’s in pretty rough shape, with some wire exposure.

  1. When it comes to tire replacement using insurance, it typically depends on your specific insurance policy and the type of coverage you have. Most auto insurance policies cover damages due to accidents, but tire wear and tear or damage from normal use might not be included.

If you have roadside assistance as part of your policy with Haggerty, they may provide help with tire changes, but this usually involves a spare tire rather than replacing the damaged one at the site. For a full replacement, you would likely need to go to a repair shop or tire service.

It’s best to contact Haggerty directly to clarify what your policy covers regarding tire replacements. They will provide you with the most accurate information and guidance on what steps to take next!
