During 2022–2023, I shared my information with them to enroll in an Oscar Insurance plan through Obamacare. After canceling my policy at the end of 2023, I received a cancellation notice from Oscar. To my shock, a year later, I discovered that they had re-enrolled me in a 2024 plan without my consent, despite my informing them I was no longer eligible for Obamacare. I had assumed everything was settled when I stopped payments and received a cancellation letter. Unfortunately, it turns out Oscar allowed them to re-enroll me at a “zero” payment, leaving me with a significant IRS bill for “using these benefits.”
This issue has reportedly affected hundreds of people. After I posted a review on Google, I was contacted by them, and when I mentioned their fraudulent activity, the representative simply hung up on me.
Many clients have faced IRS fines ranging from a few thousand dollars to as much as $5,000 due to this situation.
