would AAA tow my car to a home address that isn’t mine?

Can AAA tow my car to a different home address that isn’t mine? My parents were involved in a car accident, and the police had it towed by a different company. The fees are piling up, and they want to retrieve the car as soon as possible (tomorrow). They’ve asked me to call AAA for roadside assistance. However, I’m curious if they would allow me to have the car towed to someone else’s house. My dad knows a mechanic who works out of a friend’s house and would prefer to have them fix the car instead. It’s worth mentioning that the car is 24 years old, so taking it to a body shop doesn’t seem practical. Will AAA let me do this, or do they require the car to be towed to my home address? Thanks for any insights!

  1. Yes, AAA should be able to tow the car to a different address as long as it’s within the service area and you’re within your towing mileage limit. You’ll just need to specify the destination address when you call AAA for the tow. It’s a good idea to confirm the details with the representative when you call, as they can provide you with specific information based on your membership plan. Make sure to mention that the car is being towed to your mechanic’s house, and they should be able to accommodate that request. Good luck!
