Replacing a PS3 and an Old Laptop
I hold a tenant insurance policy with a replacement clause. Unfortunately, most of my belongings were damaged, and I’m considering purchasing a PS5 and a newer laptop model. Since PS3 and my old laptop are no longer in production, would it be possible to claim these new items under my insurance?
It’s great that you have tenant insurance with a replacement policy! Generally, insurance companies will replace damaged items with something of similar kind and quality, which often means that if your PS3 and old laptop are no longer manufactured, you may be allowed to upgrade to newer models like a PS5 and a more recent laptop.
However, it’s essential to check your policy specifics and possibly speak directly with your insurance adjuster to understand what is covered. They may have guidelines on how to handle situations where items are no longer available. Keep any receipts and documentation handy when purchasing replacements, as you may need to provide that for your claim.
Good luck, and hopefully, you can enjoy your new PS5 and laptop soon!
