Hit by Truck as pedestrian but I have no car insurance.

Navigating the Aftermath of a Pedestrian Accident: Seeking Guidance

Accidents can happen in the blink of an eye, and unfortunately, that was the case for me when I was struck by a truck while crossing the street. The driver, who was making a left turn, failed to notice me in the crosswalk, resulting in a serious collision. The police report corroborates my account, indicating that the driver neglected to yield to a pedestrian.

After the incident, I was promptly taken to the emergency room by paramedics. My injuries were significant, including a concussion, chipped teeth, a nasal fracture, stitches in my hand, as well as a variety of scrapes and ongoing pain. During a follow-up appointment, the medical team informed me that I would need to return to the ER for nasal surgery and provided referrals to several specialists for my recovery.

Given this distressing situation, I find myself at a crossroads concerning how to proceed. I’m unsure whether I should reach out to the driver’s insurance company directly or consult with a legal expert. Complicating matters further, I do not own a vehicle and, therefore, do not have car insurance.

In light of these challenges, I’ve decided to seek the help of a personal injury attorney. Their expertise will be invaluable in navigating the complexities of the situation and ensuring my rights are protected.

I appreciate any advice or insights from those who have been in similar predicaments. Thank you for your support as I work toward recovery and resolution of this incident.
