Auto Insurance Quotes, 23 F

Looking for Auto Insurance Quotes at 23

Hi everyone! I’m a 23-year-old from Alabama and I’m in the process of getting my own auto insurance policy. For years, I’ve been paying my parents $150 a month. I drive a 2017 Nissan Maxima and have been making my own loan payments on it for the past three years. I’ve never had any tickets or accidents and I’ve had my license since I turned 16.

Currently, the quotes I’ve received range from the high $200s to low $300s. I got a quote from Progressive for about $200 a month, but it’s packed with discounts, which makes me a bit skeptical about its increase at renewal time. I’ve heard some people recommend National General, but I haven’t seen many positive reviews about them.

Are there any other reputable insurance companies I should consider that might offer lower rates? Thanks for any advice!

  1. It’s great that you’re taking the initiative to look for your own auto insurance policy! Given your clean driving record and experience, it’s understandable to seek out the best rates possible. Here are a few companies you might want to consider that are known for competitive pricing, especially for young drivers:

    1. GEICO – They often have lower rates for drivers without accidents or tickets, and they frequently offer discounts that might apply to you.

    2. State Farm – Known for their customer service and potential discounts, State Farm might have a policy that works well for your situation.

    3. USAA – If you or your family has a military background, USAA offers some of the lowest rates and excellent service, but eligibility is limited.

    4. Allstate – They also provide various discounts, and their Drivewise program rewards safe driving habits.

    5. Liberty Mutual – They often have customizable coverage options and might provide discounts based on your driving habits.

Make sure to ask about any discounts for good students, safe driving, or bundling policies if you also need renters or homeowners insurance. Additionally, don’t hesitate to reach out to local agents who might have insights into special deals available in Alabama. Be sure to carefully review the coverage details and exclusions of any policy you consider, as a low premium might come with higher deductibles or less coverage. Good luck!
