Insurance involving car seat

Insurance Question about Car Seat
To summarize, my car was damaged when my neighbor’s van exploded next to it. Unfortunately, my car is being written off due to its age and the cosmetic damage exceeding its value.

I’m in the process of claiming my isofix car seat, and the insurance company is picking up my car tomorrow. However, I forgot to ask whether I should leave the car seat in the car or take it out. Does anyone know what I should do? Thanks in advance!

  1. It’s generally a good idea to remove the car seat before the insurance company picks up your car. This way, you can ensure that you have your isofix car seat for a replacement or for use in a new vehicle if needed. Additionally, you may want to keep any personal items from the car, so it’s best to double-check what you want to take out before they pick it up. If you’re unsure, you can also reach out to your insurance company for clarification on their policy regarding personal items in your vehicle. Good luck with the process!
