Named non owner policy

Named Non-Owner Policy Inquiry

I just reached out to Progressive for a quote on a named non-owner policy to cover liability for rental cars. Unfortunately, the representative informed me that they no longer offer these policies to new customers.

Does anyone know of other companies I should contact? Where are people finding these kinds of policies nowadays?

  1. It sounds like you’re in a bit of a bind with the named non-owner policy. While Progressive may not be offering them to new customers, there are other insurance providers that you can check with. Some companies that have historically offered non-owner liability policies include:

    1. Geico – They often provide flexible options for non-owner car insurance.
    2. State Farm – They may also have a named non-owner policy available.
    3. Allstate – Check with them for potential options.
    4. Farmers Insurance – They might offer similar policies.
    5. Liberty Mutual – Another option worth exploring.

Make sure to shop around and ask specifically for non-owner liability coverage when you call. Additionally, you can ask about any local insurance agents who might have access to a variety of insurers and can help you navigate your options more effectively. Good luck!
