Rear Ended

Rear-Ended Incident
I got my truck repaired after the accident, but now I’m facing some issues. My back seats are developing mildew, and the cab leaks water after it rains. They had to replace the back glass because the seal was broken, but when I took the truck back, the insurance claimed there’s no evidence linking my rear-end collision to these new problems.

Should I consider taking legal action?

  1. I’m sorry to hear about the issues with your truck after the repair. It can be frustrating when problems arise after an accident. Since the insurance company is not recognizing the connection between the rear-end collision and the water damage, you may want to consider a few steps before deciding to pursue legal action:

    1. Gather Evidence: Collect any documentation related to the repair and the damage, including photos of the water damage, any communication with the repair shop, and any relevant information about the rear-end collision.

    2. Get Expert Opinions: If possible, obtain an assessment from an independent mechanic or auto body shop that can confirm whether the repairs were done properly and if the damage is likely related to the accident.

    3. Consult an Attorney: It might be helpful to speak with a lawyer who specializes in automotive or insurance claims. They can advise you on the strength of your case and the potential costs involved in pursuing it in court.

    4. Contact Your Insurance Company: If you haven’t already, discuss the situation with your own insurance provider. They may be able to assist in resolving the matter or provide additional insights.

    5. Consider Mediation: Before going to court, you might also explore mediation options with the insurance company, which can be a less costly and time-consuming way to settle disputes.

Ultimately, whether to pursue legal action depends on the evidence you have and the potential benefits versus costs. Good luck, and I hope you can get this resolved!
