Remote employees- How much do you make?

Calling All Remote Employees: What’s Your Salary?

I’m currently pursuing my property and casualty license and am aiming for a remote position once I have it. When I search online, I find average salaries ranging from $40,000 to $55,000, which seems typical for entry-level roles. However, I’m curious if there’s a salary ceiling at major companies like Allstate, Geico, State Farm, and Progressive. If you work remotely at one of these well-known firms, I’d love to hear about your salary (both with and without additional compensation) and how your career has progressed over time. Thank you!

  1. It’s great to hear that you’re pursuing your property and casualty license! Salary ranges for remote positions in insurance can vary based on a number of factors, including location, experience, and the specific company.

For entry-level roles, the range you mentioned of $40-55k is fairly accurate for many companies like Allstate, Geico, State Farm, and Progressive. As you gain experience and take on more responsibilities, there is potential for salary growth.

In general, many employees in these companies can see salaries increase over time with promotions or by moving into specialized roles, which can push earnings into the $60-80k range or higher. Additionally, compensation packages often include bonuses, commissions, or performance incentives that can significantly impact total earnings.

If you’re working in roles such as claims adjuster, underwriter, or insurance agent, you might find even more opportunities to increase your compensation, especially as you build a client base or specialize in high-demand areas.

Networking with current employees on platforms like LinkedIn or joining relevant forums can help you gain insights into specific companies’ salaries and growth potential. Best of luck in your studies and future career!
