would AAA tow my car to a home address that isn’t mine?

Can AAA tow my car to a different address that isn’t mine?

My parents recently got into a car accident, and the police had the vehicle towed by a different company. The fees are starting to pile up, and they want to retrieve the car as soon as possible—ideally tomorrow. They’ve suggested I call AAA to use my roadside assistance, but I’m curious if they would allow me to tow it to a different location. My dad knows a mechanic who operates out of a friend’s house and wants to have them work on the car instead. I should mention that the car is 24 years old, so taking it to a body shop wouldn’t really make sense. Would AAA let me tow it to that address, or is it restricted to my home only? Thanks for your help!

  1. Yes, AAA should be able to tow your car to a different address, including your mechanic friend’s house, as long as it’s within the towing area covered by your roadside assistance plan. Just let them know the destination when you call for the tow. It’s always a good idea to check your specific plan details, as some plans might have limitations. Make sure to have the address ready when you call, and explain the situation to the representative. They should be able to accommodate your request!
