I first came across SUNLIFE INSURANCE (yoursimplecare) when I was filing my taxes at Taxtore Miami, where I was advised to use their services. Unfortunately, I now realize that this was a grave mistake. I urge anyone reading this: do not share any personal information, especially your Social Security number, with them. My experience has been extremely troubling.
In 2022-2023, I provided them with my information to enroll in an Oscar Insurance plan through Obamacare. I subsequently canceled the policy at the end of 2023 and received official notice of the cancellation from Oscar. However, a year later, I was shocked to find out that they had re-enrolled me in a 2024 plan without my consent, despite me informing them that I no longer qualified for Obamacare. I thought everything was settled after receiving the cancellation letter and ceasing my payments, but it turns out Oscar allowed them to re-enroll me for a “zero” payment, leading to a significant tax bill from the IRS for “using these benefits.”
I am not alone in this; it has reportedly happened to hundreds of people. After leaving a review on Google, I received a personal call from their representative, who simply demanded that I pay up. When I raised concerns about their fraudulent practices, he abruptly ended the conversation.
Many clients have been affected, facing IRS fines ranging from a few thousand dollars up to $5,000.
I plan to report this to the IRS and file an insurance fraud complaint with the Florida Department. I also intend to contact the FBI tip line. If you have experienced similar issues, I strongly encourage you to take action as well.

They are individuals you want to avoid when it comes to handling your information or conducting business.
